Dog-Friendly Tours

For many people, a dog isn’t just a dog anymore. He or she is a valued member of the family, and when you travel, you want all the family to be able to join in the fun. Here at Hunter Valley Private Wine Tours & Transfers we understand this better than anyone. Our Miniature Fox Terrier, Maverick (a.k.a. Mavelicious), loves to come with us on outings (not your wine tour, though) and we’re no strangers to nose art on the windows. There are many places here in the amazing Hunter Valley that allow dogs, with more being added to that list regularly, including food venues. Head over to our pages to see a current, almost full, list. You can have an awesome day out with your furry friend at your side.

For Dog’s Sake

* All of our four-legged guests receive a gift bag at the start of their tour with treats and a toy.

* Puppers will be kept safe and comfortable whilst travelling with a dog seatbelt and a waterproof seat cover.

* Just as we provide our human guests with bottled water and snacks on their tour, we also provide pet water and snacks for our canine guests.

* If you want to add a venue that isn’t dog-friendly to your itinerary, we’re happy to mind your doggo for you whilst you visit.

* Fur-kids are required to be on a leash at all times, whether in or out of the vehicle.

* For the comfort of our future guests, we ask that your pup have a recent bath and flea treatment.

Who’s A Good Dog?

At the request of Maverick, the surcharge for furry guests is a pooch smooch and/or a pat. He insists on getting in the vehicles when we get home after a dog tour to make sure we had good boys and girls and sniff our hands from pats.

So, if you’re keen to bring your poochie/s on tour with us, head over to our Book Now page and lock it in!
